SAPS dismisses report of raid at Dudu Myeni home
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
National police say reports that officers have raided the northern KwaZulu-Natal home of Dudu Myeni are false.

In a post shared on social media platform X, a publication claims the National Intervention Unit descended on the Richards Bay home of the late former South African Airways chairperson.
It claims that officials found R18 million in a safe.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says no such raid took place.

"The SAPS calls for responsible social media reporting and for users to verify information first before sharing.
"The SAPS therefore confirms no raid was undertaken by any of its units, more so the National Intervention Unit."
Myeni, who passed away last year, faced a cloud of controversy over her tenure at SAA and faced a R300,000 Bosasa fraud case.
The home is said to now belong to her son Thalente.
