The South African Jewish Board of Deputies says the decision by Cricket South Africa to relieve U-19 player David Teeger of his captaincy is anti-semitic.
Last week, CSA said Teeger would no longer captain the SA U-19 team in the upcoming Cricket World Cup due to a potential security threat.
The tournament is set to be hosted by South Africa from Friday.
Last year, Teeger for comments he made supporting the Israel Defense Forces amid the war in Gaza when receiving the " Rising Star Award" at the Jewish Achiever Awards.

An investigation was launched after CSA received a complaint from the Palestine Solidarity Alliance.
Teeger was subsequently cleared by the probe.
SA Jewish Board of Deputies National Chairperson Karen Milner says stripping him off the arm-band but keeping him in the squad does not guarantee his safety.
"This is unacceptable, and this is the issue that the South African Jewish community objected to, through the Jewish Board of Deputies. There is no doubt that underpinning the position of Cricket SA, and there is no other way of understanding it, is anti-semitic."
