SA Post Office suspends mail going to and from Far East
The South African Post Office has suspended all mail going to and arriving from coronavirus infected countries in the far east.
These are China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Kuala Lumpur.
The Post Office says the airlines it uses for transport haven't been able to pick up mail due to challenges posed by the virus.
Mail to Hong Kong won't be affected.

Spokesperson, Nobuhle Njapha says, as a result, all packages and mail from the aforementioned countries will be delayed.
"The airline carriers currently used by the SA Post Office for transport to and from these countries are unable to uplift mail due to challenges caused by the Coronavirus pandemic."
"As a result, mail from these countries meant for South Africa will also be delayed. The Post Office will resume services once suitable arrangements have been made with different airlines and would like to apologise for the inconvenience."
With COVID-19 now recognised as a global pandemic - the World Health Organisation's asking countries to urgently step up their response to the virus - if they are to stand a chance of stemming its spread.
