Ramaphosa's visit to deepen SA-Mexico relations
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Increasing trade relations between South Africa and Mexico has been the focal point of Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to the North American country.
Ramaphosa’s
visit was part of a three-nation visit that included Cuba and Sweden.
During the visit, Ramaphosa represented President Jacob Zuma at the Open Government Partnership Global Summit, aimed at improving government transparency, accountability and responsiveness to citizens to improve services and reduce poverty.
Over the last two years, there has been a slump in South Africa’s exports to Mexico, which is regarded as South Africa’s biggest trading partner in Latin America after Brazil and Argentina.
