Ramaphosa labels DA ‘hypocrites’ for dialogue bailout
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
President Cyril Ramaphosa has slammed the Democratic Alliance for pulling out of the National Dialogue, calling the move anti-democratic.

The DA announced its withdrawal from the dialogue last week in protest of Ramaphosa’s decision to fire Deputy Trade Minister Andrew Whitfield.
The Presidency says Whitfield was dismissed after he travelled to the United States without prior approval, saying it was a serious breach of protocol.

Ramaphosa says the DA must remember that it signed the Government of National Unity agreement, which includes supporting a country-wide National Dialogue.
"That is the worst form of hypocrisy that I've ever had. You sign on to a document and, thereafter, for completely different reasons that have to do with governance in the government of national unity, you then lash out against precisely the same issue that you signed on for and agreed to."
