Durban's
Kings Park Swimming Pool is being revamped at a cost of R42 million.

eThekwini Municipality says the current refurbishments are focused on repairing infrastructure damaged by strong winds last year.
They include the installation of LUX lighting, glass window replacements, non-slip coatings for stairs, as well as paving and painting work.
The walkway structures and handrails are also being upgraded, and new signage is going up.
The pool was closed in November.

The work expected to be complete in April.
The city said the upgrades are part of the ongoing maintenance programme for all municipal swimming venues.
The Kings Park Swimming Complex features both indoor and outdoor facilities.
It is also the only swimming facility in South Africa with International Swimming Federation accreditation, recognised by the International Olympic Committee for hosting international water sports competitions.
