Updated | By Bulletin
Gauteng Transport says it's investigating the roadworthiness of the scholar transport vehicle that was involved in Wednesday's horror crash in Carletonville that killed 11 children.

The driver also died.
The children were being taken to school when the minibus they were travelling in was hit by a bakkie.
Gauteng Transport MEC Kedibone Diale-Tlabela says they are yet to determine whether the vehicle was licensed.

"This was a private education transport provider, so we don't have many details. The team is busy investigating so that we can give answers.
"As of now, we don't know whether the car was licensed and whether the driver or the owner had a permit to transport children."
