President Ramaphosa to attend 10th Commemoration of King Dinuzulu

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to make
his way to KwaCeza in Zululand today where he will join amaZulu King Misuzulu
Ka Zwelithini at the 110th anniversary commemoration of King
Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo.
Ramaphosa will kick off the commemoration with a wreath laying at the late King's Memorial at Ebukhosini.
The main event in KwaCeza is where King Dinuzulu launched a decisive attack against colonial forces emerging victorious in Nongoma.
Speaking at a media briefing in Pretoria yesterday, Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya says the commemoration is a testament to the struggle for freedom.

"King Dinuzulu was a symbol of resistance against colonialism as he confronted various onslaughts, including imprisonment by the colonial government, which disregarded the institutions of traditional authority.
"He succeeded his father King Cetshwayo as king of the Zulu nation. "
