Presidency urged to probe Nkabane’s parliament absence
A political analyst says the Higher Education
Minister's failure to appear before Parliament is drawing attention from the
President's office.
Nobuhle Nkabane and senior officials from her department were scheduled to account for controversial appointments to the SETA board but skipped the meeting.
Members of Parliament have slammed Nkabane for snubbing the committee.
She stands accused of appointing politically connected individuals to the high paying Sector Education and Training Authority board, which the Hawks are investigating.

Political analyst Siphamandla Zondi said the presidency must now determine why Nkabane failed to appear.
"Ministers have to account to parliament because our constitution requires that they have to answer questions to the MPs, whether it is easy or difficult, it doesn't matter.
"There should be communication between the deputy president and parliament in order to understand what happened.
"For us to know whether it is a miscommunication issue or a misalignment issue, or it's just a defiance issue. We don't quite know,” said Zondi.
