Pregnant women, five others killed in KZN accidents

Six people including, a pregnant woman and her unborn child, were killed in several accidents in KZN.
Three people died after a bakkie overturned on the N2 heading towards Nseleni near Empangeni yesterday.
KZN Emergency Medical Services’ Robert Mckenzie says police authorities are investigating the incident.
"Paramedics worked together to treat six people who had sustained injuries at the scene. However, only three of the patients were transported to hospital. The exact cause of the crash is known at this stage," he said.

In another accident - a pregnant woman died after the vehicle she was travelling in collided with a truck on the N2 near Umgababa on the south coast.
Mckenzie says another person who’d been travelling in the car was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Meanwhile, one person was killed when a delivery truck overturned near Howick on Saturday.
