Possible fire warning for KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Fire Protection Association is warning of extremely high fire danger conditions over the next few days in parts of KwaZulu-Natal including the Amajuba and uThukela regions.
Strong winds are also expected which may fan any fires that start. FPA spokesperson Simon Thomas says that they will be on high alert at least until the province gets some rain.
"It will be warm this coming week and could be quite breezy in places, particularly over the interior of the province. We urge members of the public and land owners to be please be extremely careful and report fires as soon as possible", Thomas said.
