Police search for suspect after girlfriend shot dead
Pretoria police say an armed man is at large in the Groenkloof Nature Reserve after allegedly shooting dead his girlfriend.
Warrant Officer Hero Gambu says the 46-year-old allegedly shot and killed the 43-year-old woman near the Kloofsig train station earlier today.
After the couple argued yesterday evening, she went to sleep at a friend's house in Mamelodi.
In the morning, the two friends left for work and took a train to Centurion.
The man was waiting for them at the Kloofsig train station shortly before 7am. He approached the woman and they started arguing again.
He took out a 9mm pistol, shot her four times and ran into the nature reserve. She died on the scene. Police are still looking for the suspect.
