Police probe possible arson attack in the Durban CBD

Police are searching for a woman believed to have started a fire at a residential building on McArthur Street near Albert Park in the Durban CBD.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the suspect allegedly set fire to a vehicle following a domestic dispute this morning.
He says the blaze spread quickly through the garage and storage area. Firefighters had to be called to the building to douse the flames.

"A case has of arson was opened by the Durban Central after there was a fight that took place at one of the buildings in the CBD. It is alleged that there was a vehicle set alight this morning. The vehicle was parked on the ground floor and as a result the building - the building also caught alight. There are no arrests made at this stage," he said.
