KwaZulu-Natal traditional leaders have intensified calls for urgent police action, in the wake of a spate of attacks on amakhosi.
Chairperson of the provincial House of Traditional Leaders Phathisiswe Chiliza says it is enough and they can't tolerate where amakhosi are murdered like chickens.
The House of Traditional Leaders in KwaZulu-Natal has condemned the killing of King Cetshwayo Local House chair Hlanganani Biyela, who was gunned down at his home in Empangeni on Saturday.
On Wednesday, Zondi Traditional Council regent Mzomuhle Zondi was assassinated in Nkandla.
Chiliza says despite peace efforts between the Amakhosi and Izinduna, the bloodshed continues.
"We want to convey, especially to the law enforcement that they must work tirelessly to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to book. We appeal to all communities, all those who information to bring to the police.”
