Police investigate after suspected robbers shot
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
Durban police have opened an inquest docket as well as a case of robbery after two suspected robbers were shot by their alleged victim.

One of the suspects died on the scene near a girls' school in Glenwood yesterday.
The police's Thulani Zwane says it is alleged that the suspect threatened the victim with a knife.
"The victim produced his firearm and shot the two suspects. One guy died instantly and the other one was wounded and taken to hospital under police guard," he said.
Zwane says the injured suspect will face a charge of robbery once he's discharged from hospital.
