Police hunt for suspects after South Coast creche set alight
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt for the protesters who burnt down a creche in Mvutshini on the south coast.
The area near Margate has been the scene of ongoing demonstrations this week with residents unhappy over service delivery issues.
The police's Thulani Zwane says no one was hurt in Tuesday's blaze.
"Police attempted to arrest the suspects but they fled. The matter is still under investigation right now," Zwane said.

A case of public violence has been opened.
"We are appealing to the members of the community that they must not get involved in any destruction of property or injuring of other people. Those involved will be arrested," Zwane said.
