PMB man survives 60-metre car plunge

A man is receiving treatment after his bakkie rolled 60 metres down a steep embankment near Pietermaritzburg this morning.
It's understood the bakkie veered off the Edendale Road in the vicinity of Henley Dam at about 7am.
The driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle.
Emergency services say the driver was found sitting against a tree when they arrived at the scene.
Paramedics say both of the motorist's arms and legs were injured.
It is understood that the driver lost control of his vehicle when he drove through an apparent fuel silage on the road.
ER24 says he was treated on scene for moderate injuries before being taken to hospital.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
