Phoenix triple murder suspect 'known to the family'

Police say a 45-year-old man who has been arrested and charged with the murder of Phoenix mother Jane Govindsamy and her two daughters, Denisha and Rackelle (also known as Nikita), was known to the family.
A relative discovered Jane and Rackelle’s bodies in an apartment on Longcroft Drive on Friday.

While they were combing the scene for evidence, police discovered Denisha’s body in a cupboard. Their cause of death is still under investigation.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says detectives worked around the clock and swooped on the suspect late on Friday night.
“We can confirm that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the three people who were killed in the Phoenix area,” he says, “During the course of the night, the officers arrested the suspect - who is known to the family as well.
The man is due to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
