Phoenix school faces water shortage
Updated | By Portia Cele

It's understood the school owes R200 000 to eThekwini.
The lights have already been turned off. More than 500 pupils could be affected by the lack of services.
The municipality reportedly wants at least half of the outstanding bill to be paid before power is restored.
The KZN Education Department says water and electricity bills are usually the responsibility of the school's governing body, management and finance committee.
However, spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says they have no choice but to intervene because of the current situation.
"They have since dispatched our officials from the circuit to go and intervene in the school even if it means conducting a workshop in terms of capacitating the school governing body and the management as to how to go about managing such issues moving forward," he said.
