Phoenix family appeals for help in finding missing dad
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Members
of a Durban family are appealing to the public for help in finding their
missing father.
Phoenix resident Sagren Kaniappen has been missing since Friday.
The 59-year-old was last seen going to pick up a passenger at the King Shaka International Airport.
His vehicle was later found by police in the Cato Manor area.
Dawn Gounden, who is with the missing person's organisation, the Search and Rescue Renegades, says Kanniappen's family reported the matter after someone else began answering his phone.
"His family received multiple missed calls from him. When they returned the calls, there was no answer. They tried again in the evening, there was a male who answered and then the phone was switched off. That is when they decided to go to the police.”
