Petrol price to increase
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Motorists will be forking out more for fuel as of Wednesday, the Energy Department has confirmed.

The price of petrol will increase by 48cents a litre.
Diesel will cost between 30 and 32cents more a litre as of Wednesday 3 May.
The department says the main reasons for the increases are the weakening of the rand against the US dollar, which contributed to 25cents per litre on the fuel price increase.
"The average increase in the prices of petroleum products in the international markets in line with the higher crude oil prices has also contributed to the increase," the department says in a statement.
