Petrol, diesel prices set to increase in August
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Automobile Association (AA) says South Africans should brace for another fuel price hike next month.

Mid-month data from the Central Energy Fund shows that petrol will go up by around 35 cents per litre, diesel by 68 cents and illuminating paraffin by 63 cents a litre.
Earlier this month, international oil prices climbed higher in the first week - a sign of a recovering international trade.
"The bulk of these increases are a result of increases to international petroleum prices," says the Automobile Association's Layton Beard.

He adds: "While the outlook remains relatively flat at this stage, the AA would still warn consumers to expect increases in the short-term.
"The outlook for the rest of the year is obviously dependant on what happens to the Rand against the US dollar and also what happens to international oil prices going forward."
