Assembly has agreed to set up an ad hoc committee to investigate KZN police
chief Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's damning allegations about law enforcement.

MPs adopted a joint report of the portfolio committees on Police, and Justice, and Constitutional Development on Wednesday.
The report recommends that an ad hoc committee be established to probe allegations of political and criminal interference in the South African Police Service.
The investigation is expected to wrap up within 90 days.
Parliament's police committee chairperson Ian Cameron said they have identified several critical areas of concern that the ad hoc committee needs to investigate thoroughly.
"One [would be] to include the investigation of the allegedly unlawful disbanding of the [KZN] Political Killings Task Team and the removal of the said dockets.
"Two, allegations of political interference in the South African Police Service. Three, alleged irregular appointments and procurements linked to senior officers."
