One killed, child injured as vehicle overturns near PMB
One person has been killed when a vehicle overturned on the R103 near Lion Park outside Pietermaritzburg.
Paramedics arrived on scene yesterday to find that some of the occupants of the car were ejected when the vehicle overturned and came to rest in a veld.
ER24 spokesperson, Werner Vermaak, says four others - including a child - were hurt in the crash.
Vermaak says the man who was declared dead on scene was found near the wreckage.
"A two-year-old child was also severely injured in this incident. Paramedics found a bystander busy treating the child. The child was handed over to paramedics and they continued the treatment before transporting the child to hospital," he said.
