One person has been killed in a single truck crash on the N11, near Newcastle.

KZN EMS spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie says the vehicle overturned on the Ladysmith-bound side this morning.
"One person has sustained fatal injuries and paramedics have treated two patients for serious injuries at the scene. The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and is being investigated by police," Mckenzie said.
Meanwhile, a five year old girl is being treated in hospital for serious injuries - after being hit by a vehicle in Mphopomeni, near Howick yesterday.
It is believed the child was crossing the road when she was struck.
Midlands EMS says she sustained a head injury, was treated and placed on a specialised board before being transported to a nearby hospital.
