One dead after multi-vehicle crash on M7

One person has been killed and multiple injured in a major accident on the M7 just before the Bellville interchange.
On Wednesday morning, a tanker caught alight after it was involved in an accident with two trucks and 10 cars.
Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the fire is out, but firemen are still dampening the hot spots.
"Three trucks and about 10 cars have been involved in the collision, with reports of one fatality. Two aeromedical helicopters are mobile to assist the team."
"Multiple causalities have been injured, are now being treated by paramedics on the scene. The fire is still dampening down, but the fire is out," he said.
At this stage it is unknown what was the contents in the tanker.
The M7 is closed in both directions.
