One arrested, search ongoing for six suspects in Ladysmith murder
A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 20-year-old man, whose body was found in Ladysmith yesterday.
Police say the victim was kidnapped in Steadville on Saturday by seven men who'd accused him of stealing a car.
They say the victim was assaulted and residents who tried to intervene were threatened with guns.
The suspects took off with the victim.
Police search teams began searching for him on Monday. His body was pulled out of Klip River yesterday. The victim had been shot and severely assaulted.
The hunt for the remaining suspects continues.
Officers are again warning community members - against acts of vigilantism. Police are appealing to the public to report incidents to their local SAPS.
