Officials probe massive Richards Bay blaze
Richards Bay Fire officials say an investigation into yesterday's fire is still ongoing.
Firefighters battled a fire that engulfed hundreds of tyres near an aluminium smelter in Richards Bay yesterday.
A fire raging near the Hillside smelter is said to have threatened nearby plants in the northern KZN town.
Umhlathuze fire officials say attempts to extinguish the blaze that continued into yesterday night have been successful.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
