Obama hosts Trump in first post-election meeting

US president Barack Obama and president-elect Donald Trump have met for the first time to discuss the handover of power.
The pair met in the Oval Office at the White House in a meeting which lasted over an hour.
Addressing the media, Trump said their discussions were wide-ranging.
" I very much look forward to dealing with the President in future. He has explained some of the difficulties and some of the really great things that have been achieved," he said.

Mr Obama said Mr Trump's willingness to work with his team on the issues facing the country was encouraging, saying it was important for all "to now come together".
Obama says he'll do all he can to help his successor.
"We talked about some of the organisational issues in setting up the White House - my number one priority in the coming two months is to try to facilitate a transition that the president-elect is successful," he said.
