North West Education officials say all 53 pupils are being accommodated at other schools in the area.

The fire broke out yesterday morning in the girls' hostel. Three pupils between the ages of 16, 17 and 18 - were killed in the blaze.

Spokesperson Elias Malindi says the full extent of the damage is still unknown.

"We don't have figures quantifying [the extent] at the moment but it's a lot of money almost over a million. The learners are out of hospital," he said.
