"These cases come at a point where we expected that we could have cases in those areas of Madibeng and Morelete because they are of the proximity to Hammanskraal where a lot of cases are."
The national health department says there are 60 confirmed cholera cases in the country - 48 in Gauteng, 9 in the Free State, 2 in the North West and 1 in Limpopo.
The current outbreak of the bacterial disease has claimed 23 lives in Gauteng and one in the Free State.
