No shortage of forensic psychologists: Hawks
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Hawks have denied outright there's less than a handful forensic psychologists within the South African Police Service.
The Times newspaper is quoting sources as saying the resignation of Brigadier Gerard Labuschagne means there are now only two forensic psychologists in the country, something they say leaves a void in the unit.
Hawks spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says this is far from the truth.
"We want to put it on record that there is no such. One person cannot disrupt the services that we render which are very critical to the community of this country. We want to reject it and we just want to also request that those with their own agendas must not use the good name of the SAPS," he said.
