'No doubt' more load shedding expected this week says Eskom

Eskom has announced that load shedding has been escalated to Stage 4 on Monday.
Eskom spokesperson, Dikatso Mothae says the move is as a result of the service losing additional generation units on the system.

"We have lost more generation capacity due to unplanned breakdowns. So, the more unplanned breakdowns we have, the more likelihood there is that we will need to move a stage up which is what has happened now. We now have to move to stage 4," she said.
Mothae says load shedding is also expected for the rest of the week.
"I have no doubt that we will have more load shedding for the rest of the week. Come next week, the demand we foresee will decrease, and hopefully, we will not need to load shed from next week," she said.
