No complaints concerning KZN matric dance ban: KZN Education
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The KZN Department of Education says it's received no objections to a directive that no matric dances be held prior to the writing of final exams.
Today marks 30 days to the start of the crucial exams.
Other provinces are yet to follow KZN's lead.
The department's Kwazi Mthethwa says students will get the best opportunities to generate good grades.
"You may be aware that in the last two years our province has experienced a drop in the matric pass rate.

"We want to ensure that there's maximum use of the remaining days leading to the final exams. We want to improve the overall marks for the class of 2016," he said.
