Two KwaZulu-Natal traffic officers have been given their marching orders after accepting bribes from truck drivers.
The KZN Transport Department says the pair were members of the Road Traffic Inspectorate.
They were stationed in Newcastle.
KZN Transport's Kwanele Ncalane says they were dismissed following an investigation that began in 2018.

"In addition to these two, the department is conducting investigations at the Newcastle Driver License Testing Station following allegations and outcry from members of the public of alleged corruption and misconduct that is happening.
"Subsequent to that, six examiners have been suspended and some of them are facing criminal charges."
Ncalane says the charges the examiners face include the fraudulent issuing of drivers licences and learner's licenses to foreign nationals.
