Nestlè recalls some Kit Kats, says it could contain glass
Updated | By Newswatch
Nestle South Africa had recalled some of its Kit Kat chocolate bars - saying they could contain glass.
If you bought the two fingers 20-gram milk chocolate
or the 200-gram mini-bag milk bars you need to check your product's best before
date and production code.
The food and drinks giant is recalling some of these items saying that they may contain glass pieces.
Items with the best before dates: 30 September 2022 and 31 October 2022 are affected.
You will need to check the production code as well on the side panel of the package.
The company says it hasn't received any complaints or reported injuries to date.
It says it's acting out of an abundance of caution after it discovered the presence of small pieces of glass during quality and safety checks.
Nestlè says if you purchased chocolate that's affected by the voluntary recall you can take it back to the shop for a full refund.

It says this does not apply to its dark chocolate and white chocolate variants.
If you're concerned about a Kit Kat bar that you've eaten - the company's asked that you consult a doctor.
