Exactly a year ago, President Jacob Zuma announced the removal Nhlanhla Nene as Minister of Finance.
Since his announcement, it set a downward spiral to South Africa's economy, with the rand losing massive value.

The financial cost, estimated at R500-billion, and fears of junk status - sparked calls for the president to resign.
Nene was replaced by Des van Rooyen - before he was replaced a few days later by Pravin Gordhan, who had previously - and currently - controls the public purse.
