N3 truck blockade: Drivers taken in by police
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Police in KZN have confirmed that they have taken a number of truck drivers in for questioning, after they allegedly blocked the N3 near Van Reenen's Pass in protest.
It's understood the drivers stopped and abandoned their trucks, taking the keys with them and blocking both carriageways from the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police Spokesperson, Jay Naicker, says officers were able to locate the drivers and recover the keys for their vehicles late yesterday.
Naicker says they're still keeping an eye on the area.
"We urge motorists to avoid the area till traffic is flowing smoothly", he said.
"Additional officers have been deployed to the area to ensure no further delays on the road", Naicker said.
