N3 route: No major accidents reported so far
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
In just under 48-hours traffic is going to pick up again on the N3.
About 1300 vehicles per hour were recorded coming into Durban at the Mooi River Toll Plaza early yesterday. The N3 Toll Concession says there have been no reports of serious crashes since the start of the Easter long weekend.
It is a lot quieter on the national route now but the Concession’s Con Roux says they expect numbers to rise again on Monday as holiday makers to KZN, head home.
"There have been a few crashed but nothing serious", he said.
"We are greatful for that and we would like to thank motorists for driving responsibly", Roux said.
And Roux has urged drivers to plan their journey and leave early to avoid speeding and travelling at night.
