Multiple severe weather alerts for KZN
Updated | By Newswatch
The weather office says warnings for severe storms in parts of KZN will remain in place until Thursday.

"Over the low-lying areas [there is a] 30 per cent chance, and there will be a 60 per cent chance which is accompanied by a yellow level two warning for thunderstorms," says SA Weather Service's Tukello Chilwane.
Chilwane says the Level 2 alert for severe thunderstorms could bring heavy downpours, which may lead to localised flooding, particularly in KZN's low-lying areas.

There is a level 1 alert for damaging winds that could make navigation at sea difficult along the north coast.
Then a level 2 warning has been sent out for disruptive rain along the entire KZN coast and adjacent interior.
This is an active alert for localised flooding of susceptible formal and informal settlements, roads and bridges and damage to infrastructure.
Conditions are otherwise cloudy, with scattered showers and thundershowers in the province.
