Msunduzi to probe financial misconduct disciplinary board
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Msunduzi Municipality says its financial misconduct disciplinary board will be investigated following damning claims made by a former official.
In a letter of immediate resignation, the senior manager for legal service claims she can no longer continue with her duties.
She says it's over an immensely divided board while also lamenting the manner in which it's being run.

The city's Nontobeko Mkhize says it's resulted in a probe in order to get to the bottom of the claims.
She says only once issues have been verified will the correct steps be taken.
"We are unable to comment further on the reason for her resignation. It is a matter that is being dealt with internally between employer and employee. However, I can say that the city manager is giving the matter the level of priority that it deserves."
