Motsoeneng has been addressing the media during a press briefing in Johannesburg after reports the new interim board of the public broadcaster is considering reversing Motsoeneng's decision made while he as COO - to up the percentage of local music.
Motsoeneng says the mandate of the SABC is to promote local content.
"We are all South Africans - all white and black people should support each other and make sure that we grow our industry which is this production house including musicians in South Africa. It seems the benefits are for black people only - 90% is for white also because the SABC is playing their music on that platform," he said.
