More workers missing in George building collapse

Officials have revised the number of people who were working on a construction site in George in the Southern Cape, where a multi-storey building collapsed this week.
The George Municipality says 81 people and not 75 were working at the job site when disaster struck on Monday.
The death toll has also climbed to eight.

Municipality spokesperson Chantelle Edwards says they amended the figure following discussions with the contractor. She says the company's safety records also came under scrutiny.
"37 patients have been retrieved and leaves us with 44 persons unaccounted for."
