More arrests in eThekwini's DSW graft scandal

Three more eThekwini councillors will join former mayor Zandile Gumede and other co-accused in court next Tuesday to face corruption-related charges.
The Hawks say Mthokozisi Nojiyesa, Bhekokwakhe Phewa and Sduduzo Khuzwayo were arrested on Thursday.
They briefly appeared in the Durban Specialised Commercial Crimes Court and released on bail of R15 000 each.

Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale said: "The accused who are part of the ongoing investigation by the Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation into corruption-related activities within the eThekwini Municipality in relation to the Durban Solid Waste tender."
"The accused are reported to have been part of the investigation by the National Clean Audit Task Team into fraud and corruption within the eThekwini Municipality."
