Mom due in Umlazi court after children’s murder

A woman accused of killing her two young children is expected to appear in court in Umlazi on Thursday.

The 28-year-old was arrested after the discovery of the bodies of a two-month-old and a two-year-old in bushes in eNgonyameni, south of Durban on Monday.
They had injuries to their heads.

KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the woman faces two counts of murder.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police found two bodies of children with head bruises and were declared dead at the scene. The motive of the killings is unknown at this stage."
