Mokonyane: Mabuza was committed to ANC’s recovery
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The ANC's first deputy secretary-general Nomvula Mokonyane says David Mabuza was committed to helping the party recover from its recent electoral decline.

Mokonyane said he was committed to work together with the ANC and make the ANC to recover from the setbacks because he was there in the trenches and he was there even now.
"He was concerned about where we are and he was committed to find a space for him to work, and he saw himself as an organizer of the ANC."
The former deputy president passed away on Thursday at the age of 64.

His family says he was rushed to hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties but died in the emergency room.
Mokonyane was speaking outside his home in Mpumalanga province yesterday. " We are also quite heartened by the fact that South African government has taken a decision to give comrade David a funeral that is befitting of a Deputy President.
"The ANC in Mpumalanga will be organizing various memorial services across the province in the three regions at an appropriate time. The South African government will communicate," said Mokonyane.
