MKP calls for probe into tender linked to Oberholzer
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
The uMkhonto weSizwe party is calling for an investigation into an energy tender awarded to a company chaired by former Eskom COO Jan Oberholzer.

Last week, Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa announced five preferred bidders under the government’s battery storage programme.
Four of the contracts went to Mulilo Energy.
The government hopes the R9.5 billion investment will help ease the country’s energy crisis.
However, MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela says they demand full disclosure of the bid.

" We, as the uMkhonto weSizwe party, have taken the initiative and written formally to the Minister of Electricity and Energy, demanding full disclosure of the bid adjudication records within seven days.
"Now, should the minister fail to comply, uMkhonto weSizwe will immediately approach the courts to interdict and suspend these contracts."
