Mkhize weighs in on reopening of schools

The criteria for the reopening of schools remains a national talking point.
The Health Minister says children can't be kept away from classrooms forever.
Zweli Mkhize's been weighing in on the matter after Basic Education said that schools will, from Monday, allow Grades 12 and 7 pupils to return in a phased approach.

"There is no intention to get children to be exposed to infection. We are going to have COVID-19 for a long time, for most of this year and some parts of next year or even beyond. Now you can't freeze the whole country forever."
Mkhize visited the Western Cape yesterday - which accounts for more than 65% of the country's COVID-19 cases.
