Mixed reaction from 18 - 34 cohort to get Covid jab
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
Young people aged 18 to 34 have been queuing at vaccinations sites since Friday morning, waiting for their turn to get a coronavirus shot.
Cabinet has approved and brought forward the date for this cohort's vaccination in a bid to encourage uptake of the jabs.
Newswatch has spoken to some youths who've shared mixed feelings about registering and getting vaccinated.
"I have definitely registered and I am going to be taking one. I have got very serious doubts with the Pfizer vaccine, specifically because they are rolling out two jabs instead of one. I am looking forward to taking the jab and living my best life," says 28-year-old Thando Magubane, who is from Umhlanga Rocks.

Lamontville's Sisanda Khoza, who is 22-years-old, says the wait has long overdue.
"I am really excited about it and I will advocate for everyone to do it just for the safety of the country. I will be getting my vaccination as soon as possible and I will also encourage some of my friends, especially the ones who are working to get the vaccination as well."
