"I could imagine. I will never see my nephew again. I mean really - it's not right," Miguel's aunt, Tasmin Dos Santos said.

Mohammed Ebrahim's attorney, Chris Gounden says 43-year-old posted his R2500 bail last week - a month after a court granted him bail.

"I can confirm that my client has been released on bail. It happened sometime last week. He is appearing in court next week," he said.

Miguel went missing in mid-July - shortly after leaving his Sydenham school.

His decomposed body was found in Phoenix at the beginning of last month - nearly two months after his disappearance.

Dos Santos says they didn't expect Ebrahim to be released because the police minister had given them an undertaking.
